Harry

Last night I went to a Harry Connick jr. concert with Jesse, Tamara, & Brian. The concert was at Wolf Trap. Wolf Trap is an outdoor amphitheater. You can buy tickets for either covered seats, or lawn tickets. The cool thing about lawn tickets is besides being cheaper, is that you can bring in food & wine, and have a picnic before/during the concert. So we opted to buy lawn tickets....bad idea. :)

The whole day was beautiful, but while we were driving out there it started to rain, just a bit and then it stopped, and blue skies opened up. We thought that would be it. The gates opened for the lawn 1 1/2 hours before the concert started. We got there about an hour and 15 min. before, and there were NO spots left. Well I lie there were a couple of spots...but check out our view :)

We could see a little of the very right side of the stage, so we could see when they would change the colors of the lights on the stage, but as you can see we couldn't see much more than that. What's amazing is that we had better seats then about 100 other people who were sitting to the left of us, and didn't even get to see any of the stage.

It was nice for about an hour, and then about 5 minutes before Harry came out it started to rain. It rained for about 20 minutes...stopped for about 30...and then started again. It did this for most of the concert.
The only good thing about the rain is that it did make some people pack up and leave, so for about the last 30 minutes we were able to actually see the stage & enjoy Harry's dancing! :)

Oh no! How could such a good thing go so wrong?! You'll have to give Harry another shot ... somewhere closer to the front. :) kj (Harry's #1 fan)
